This one is a little better then the island thing. Imagine You are to be separated from other humans for life on a deserted island with everything you need to basically survive. You need food? There's plenty. You need water? Also plenty. There's one good sized shelter, and it has everything basically one needs in it. Before you left they said you could only bring twelve items to the island and no more, what would they be?
Lets say, they would check it to make sure it was exactly twelve.
You may only bring one item that could help you comunicate, and no, you may not bring anything that could possibly get you back to civilization.
I wouldn't even need twelve.
The only thing I'd bring is a sleeping bag, and a bottle of aspirin.
